MINDS: Hubertus Koehler, Chief Technical Officer, dpa-infocom GmbH

MINDS (Mobile Information and News Data Services for 3G) is a project funded by the EU and aims at optimizing processes in the value chains of mobile services. Within the project, a big gap in the usage of metadata not only between content providers and mobile network operators but also among news agencies has been identified as one of the major obstacles for successful advanced mobile services. Thus MINDS aims at identifying, establishing and maintaining a common set of metadata, to enhance the quality of mobile services. This common set shall be based on existing standards, will be supported by its member agencies and takes into account the requirements of all participants in the value chain of mobile
services.
